The RELIEF project (InteRvening EarLier In life for hEalthier liFestyles) has officially started, marking an important step towards preventing the use of emerging tobacco products among children and early adolescents across Europe.
The project was officially launched with a dedicated Awareness Event, which brought together key stakeholders, including educators, researchers, health professionals, and representatives of partner organisations. The event served as an opportunity to introduce the project’s objectives, share initial insights, and foster dialogue on the urgent need for innovative prevention strategies.
During the event, participants discussed the challenges posed by rapidly evolving nicotine products and highlighted the importance of equipping schools, families, and communities with the right knowledge and tools. The Awareness Event also marked the beginning of RELIEF’s engagement activities, which will include workshops, campaigns, and the development of a digital toolkit designed to support healthier lifestyle choices among young people.
By combining research, innovation, and stakeholder involvement, RELIEF aims to contribute to reducing the initiation of tobacco and nicotine use among youth, strengthening prevention capacities, and supporting more effective public health policies across Europe.
Stay tuned for updates on upcoming activities and opportunities to get involved.
